Sometimes it just feels nice to cry for no reason. I think cis males take for granted how nice it feels to cry. When you're a trans girl you can cry anytime just to feel better. No male stigma holding you back and letting it all out.

sometimes i'll get sucked into drama movies i'll choke up and my face scrunches up like I wanna cry but nothing comes out, it's really unsatisfying tbh

that doesn't seem nice at all i'd rather not cry
The part in Interstellar where Cooper leaves his daughter behind makes me cry.
Also the ending of Gunbuster.

i felt like that during the scene with the decades of video calls hitting cooper like a ton of bricks

if you cry to feel better and the crying was over literally nothing then what exactly was making you feel terrible?
i don't get it

the problem here lies in the assumption that only terrible things could make someone cry

Ohh I forgot about that scene.
When she drops the reveal that they're the same age now was real powerful.

I know this is true because sometimes I cry when I'm coughing from smoking weed. Sometimes I cough so much that I throw up, and that is satisfying in a way as well. This may be conditioning myself to associate both things with getting blazed, but still.

if you're a spineless poltroon who cries at the slightest discomfort or inconvenience, i have bad news for you: nobody likes that in a woman either
the thing is when men hold back their tears, it's rarely out of shame or toxic stoicism, they just understand when it's appropriate to cry and when it isn't: if they can, they'll avoid killing the mood, creating unecessary tension or forcing everybody to shift their attention on how bad they're feeling in the present moment
every day is an internalized misandry fiesta with Squishy

are you saying you had to troon out before you allowed yourself to cry in private? why?

i'll cry at any stupid movie in private but i'm not so navel gazing i need to turn a movie night with friends into an open therapy session
